“Sana’a confront Houthis Coup” Seminar organized by Al-Asimah Center in Marib

Al-Asimah Media Center organized Saturday a seminar summarized Houthi militia crimes since their coup against legitimate government on 21 September-2014.
 
The seminar took place in Marib province coincides with the fifth anniversary of the Houthi militia’s invasion of the capital, Sanaa, and the coup against the Yemeni state.
 
Al-Asimah Director Abdulbasit Al-Shaga reviewed in a report issued by the Center, crimes committed by the Houthi militia, which varied between murder and theft of homes, shops, cars and other property, as well as kidnapping  of women and children and documented rape and suicide cases.
 
Crime rates in Sana’a rose to more than 80,000 documented cases”, he said.
 
Total cases of killing by Houthi militia leaders and its armed gangs reached 2955, including children and women, and 90 abductions of children and women doubled in intensity from the beginning of 2018, in addition to 70 rapes of children and women, pointing to examples of cases of victims of deliberate security chaos.
 
More than 1,350 events took place in the capital Sana’a against Houthi militias, included “protests, angry demonstrations, total and partial strikes”, as Yemeni women topped the front of refusing the Houthi militia practices.
 
Houthi militia seized of 400 institutions, companies, land, real estate varied between commercial, charitable, educational and official.
 
The militia also seized the property of more than 3,000 Yemenis, including political activists and opponents, party leaders and ministers belong to legitimate government.
 
The seminar tackled tow papers, the 1s by journalist Mohammed Al-Jumaee, in which he addressed the most prominent losses of the Yemeni economy because of the Houthi coup five years ago, referring to statistics of the massive looting of state funds and resources.
 
The revenues of taxes, customs and telecommunications, oil and gas companies that Houthi militias looting every year are 1 trillion, 292 billion and 500 million riyals and more than 5 billion dollars”, he pointed out.
 
2nd paper introduced by Dr. Omar Redman, explained that the Hothi’s coup is not new but comes as a close extension of the history of the Imamate and the calamities they have caused against Yemenis.
